Director of Technical Operations

Electronic Arts Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Technical Operations to lead our efforts in Foundational Technology. This critical area is dedicated to building cutting-edge technology that ensures the present and future success of Battlefield.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee budget and resource allocation for the Foundational Technology team.
  • Develop and manage scalable and efficient talent planning, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Set and execute goals, and account for development effort across the globally distributed Foundational Technology team.
  • Provide operational leadership and strategic direction to the Foundational Technology team, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Battlefield franchise.
  • Collaborate with other technical and non-technical domains to plan and develop the Battlefield franchise.
  • Create and manage budgets and global staffing to drive scalable and efficient teams.
  • Partner with Finance and Battlefield product leadership to develop and manage the Foundational Technology budget.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the stability and effectiveness of the team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical operations or a related field.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within the gaming industry, preferably within AAA.
  • Extensive knowledge of game development processes.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of technical professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex organizational initiatives and technical concepts to non-expert stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects, with the ability to deliver on time and within budget.
