Job Title: Infant and Toddler Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Infant and Toddler Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead activities based on the interests and developmental level of the children in our care.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families, ensuring their needs are met and their experiences are positive.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to create a supportive and safe environment for both staff and families.
  • Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Provide active supervision at all times and support transitions between play areas.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through our parent communication app.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in all program areas and common spaces.
Requirements:
  • Infant Toddler ECE certification from a recognized program in British Columbia.
  • Special Needs (SNE) Certification is an asset.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required (can be obtained within 30 days of start date).
  • Three professional reference checks to be completed.
  • A current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued within six months preceding your start date.
