About the Role

Nextrux Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Load and unload goods, perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, but a background in long-haul trucking is preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A), and a valid driver's license check.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular travel and varying weather conditions.
