About the Role

Vancouver Film School is seeking a highly motivated and organized Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Marketing and Events team, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of events, campaigns, and marketing materials that promote our world-class educational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing and Events Manager in planning and delivering successful events, campaigns, and marketing materials.
  • Build and set up online event platforms, including event registration and ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with the Web Developer to update our website and ensure event information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with the Marketing and Creative team to promote events and create engaging marketing materials.
  • Manage event materials, including print and digital assets, and ensure they are delivered on time.
  • Champion VFS as a world-class educational facility and ensure events and activities align with our strategic goals.
  • Support the management of the online store and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with alumni success tracking and database management of industry projects for marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or certification in Event Management or a related field is highly desired.
  • This is a junior-level role, and while some work experience in events is preferred, we will consider recent graduates and co-op students.
  • Experience in delivering events for a post-secondary educational institution is an advantage.
  • Proven relationship management skills, including the ability to bring together multiple stakeholders to deliver successful events and activities.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative environment and solve problems independently and under pressure.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment and initiative.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CRM and event planning platforms, with experience using Monday.com, Slack, Eventbrite, Zoom, and Hopin being a significant asset.
  • Flexibility to travel to events and work evenings, with the ability to drive/access a vehicle being a bonus but not essential.
