We are in search of a skilled Mechanical Software Engineer to become a part of our Finite Element structural development team. This team is responsible for creating structural products (including durability, laminate, and dynamics) for the Siemens Simcenter 3D suite. Additionally, the team develops the environments and interfaces that connect the Siemens Simcenter 3D Pre-Processing tool with leading finite element solvers such as Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, and LS-DYNA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze client workflows, requirements, and needs, providing tailored solutions and best practices.
  • Design, develop, and implement new software features.
  • Support and maintain existing products while addressing client inquiries.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing.
  • Identify and implement code corrections or workarounds for any defects.
  • Thoroughly document all work completed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, aerospace), computer science, or a related field.
  • Proficient understanding of the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methodology is essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of C++ programming experience (excluding coursework), with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
  • At least 2 years of experience with one of the following commercial solvers: Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, LS-DYNA.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAE platforms and engineering workflows is advantageous.
  • Experience with version control systems and project management tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with additional object-oriented programming languages (C#, Python, Perl, etc.) is beneficial.
