Overview

KPMG Canada is a leading professional services firm that offers a unique opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Auditor. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading audits and ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the audit of clients, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Manage the audit from planning to completion of statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing the business plan and contributing to the development of new services.
  • Work with members of the assurance management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan and drive business growth.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements, ensuring consistency and quality.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm, with a strong background in audit and accounting.
  • Previous experience using IFRS working with publicly listed clients, with a focus on large integrated audits.
  • Excellent client service skills, with an aptitude to understand the clients' business and develop strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a strong focus on achieving high standards of client service.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue, with a strong understanding of business development and marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
