About the Role
The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Museum Guide. As a key member of our Visitor Services team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our visitors and promoting the Bank's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet visitors at the front desk, providing information and answering questions about the Museum and its exhibits.
- Raise public awareness of the Bank's role and responsibilities through engaging dialogue with visitors.
- Develop and deliver guided tours, family activities, and school programs that bring the Museum's history and heritage to life.
- Assist with the Museum boutique and participate in various visitor services projects as required.
Requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to quickly build an understanding of the Museum's history, heritage, and mission.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Bank of Canada and its role in the Canadian economy.
- Experience in museum or education settings, preferably as a guide, interpreter, or teacher.
- Ability to work in a bilingual environment (English and French) and willingness to learn and improve language skills.

- A competitive salary range of $25.90 to $28.78 (job grade 10).
