Providence Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide comprehensive spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff through counseling and supportive presence.
- Promote the spiritual well-being of patients and residents through listening, prayer, and group support.
- Collaborate with spiritual/cultural representatives and clergy in the community to provide spiritual care.
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to staff during times of crisis.
- Mentor and support volunteer visitors who provide ministry to patients and residents.
- Support patients, residents, and their families who are considering or engaged in the MAiD process.
- Participate in sharing on-call and/or back-up on-call duties, as required.
- Master's degree in Theology, Public and Pastoral Leadership, Spiritual Practices, or other relevant theological/spiritual studies.
- Minimum of one advanced unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), preferably two advanced units.
- Two years of direct or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner with CASC/ACSS or committed to achieving certification within two years.
