About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at Redberry Software Technologies USA, Inc. as a key member of our Web & Mobile development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex frontend web applications, analyzing business and technical problems to shape and deliver digital platforms.
  • Analyze, configure, and tune frontend web applications, serving as a subject matter expert on web technologies.
  • Enforce software development standards and mentor junior developers.
  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle, from concept to production and support.
  • Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products.
  • Gather requirements around functionality and translate those into elegant functional solutions.
  • Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
  • Collaborate with web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support projects.
  • Create compelling device-specific user interfaces and experiences.
  • Optimize performance for apps.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends in mobile/web technologies.
  • Communicate technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attend industry events and conferences.
Requirements
  • Proven commercial software development experience in desktop and mobile applications.
  • Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human-computer interaction, and usability design principles.
  • A track record of delivering successful consumer and business products.
  • Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decisions.
  • A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging media landscape.
  • Ability to multitask and possess good time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent unit testing, usability, QA, scoping, and estimation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various departments locally and internationally.
Essential Skills
  • Deep understanding of native JavaScript.
  • Frontend web technologies, including AngularJS, Node, Bootstrap, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery, Ajax.
  • CSS preprocessing, e.g., LESS.
  • Frontend build tools, e.g., Gulp, Grunt.
  • JavaScript testing frameworks, e.g., Jasmine, Karma.
  • Frontend components, e.g., Bower.
  • JavaScript compression and minification, e.g., Uglify.
  • Developer/build tools, including GIT and Jenkins.
  • Code analysis tools, e.g., PMD, Checkstyle, Findbugs, Sonar.
  • Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong design and programming skills.
  • Familiarity with coding standards and naming conventions.
  • Experience with web service integration, e.g., SOAP, REST, JSON, XML.
  • Experience with development using web technologies.
  • Good understanding of design patterns.
  • Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
  • Conceptual knowledge on data caching and synchronization.
  • Optional: Knowledge of cross-platform SDKs.
Qualifications/Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Applications.
  • 5+ years of experience developing published mobile/web applications on various form factors.
  • Experience with 3rd party libraries and APIs will be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Leadership potential and ability to play an individual contributor role with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all business levels, requiring tact, judgment, and composure.
