About the Role

Rai Investment Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through tarping and other measures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks and trip reports.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
