Job Summary: We are seeking a Behavioural Officer to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, updating, analyzing, and assessing activities in a behavioural intervention/teaching program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Intervention Team, CMC staff, and external partners to provide clinical skills instructions, behavior increase and behavior reduction protocols, and evidence-based practices to those working with clients.
- Develop awareness, learning modules, and workshop materials to support the delivery of behavioural services.
- Provide training and coaching to staff on behavioural interventions and strategies.
- Conduct assessments and develop behaviour plans to support clients with neurodivergent differences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field, or a Bachelor/Master's degree with a focus in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
- Minimum of two (4) years of relevant experience in behavioural services.
- Knowledge and experience working with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergent differences.
- Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to coaching and training.
- Experience with community-based interventions and coordination of service plans.
- Good critical thinking, synthesis, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Autonomous, flexible, discreet, and empathetic.
- Teamwork skills, dynamism, sense of accountability, and resourcefulness.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Will be required to travel to various communities.
