We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Homewood Health Centre, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Canada.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse on our MASTRS/OASIS unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with mood and anxiety disorders. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care on the MASTRS/OASIS unit, including administering medications and treatments, and conducting clinical assessments.
  • Contribute to fluctuating patient care needs, following CNO standards and RNAO Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned, and direct the work of others.
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and individual team members as appropriate.
  • Act as a preceptor, mentor, coach, or resource nurse as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensed as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
  • BScN and CPMHN(C) preferred.
  • 2+ years recent experience working with mood and anxiety patients is preferred.
  • Mental Health Nursing certificate preferred.
  • CPR/Basic rescuer.
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills.
  • Skilled in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, including PTSD, suicide prevention, and the management of aggressive behaviour.
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Act, and community mental health resources.
  • Knowledge of documentation standards (CNO), and privacy legislation (PHIPPA).
