Position Overview
Under the general oversight of the Program Team Manager, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the CLINICAL PRACTICE NURSE - REGISTERED NURSE (RN) delivers professional nursing services for patients, including those with intricate and unpredictable health requirements. These services encompass independent nursing practices, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the healthcare team, and coordination of patient care and discharge processes.
Experience
- Completion of a postgraduate course in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing or equivalent ICU experience is mandatory.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing education program is essential.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current registration with the CRNM is required.
- Active involvement in professional organizations, such as the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), is preferred.
- Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of the scope of practice as outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.
