Contribute to the development of an iconic DC Superhero

Monolith Productions, the acclaimed AAA studio recognized for titles such as F.E.A.R. and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, is in search of a Senior Software Engineer in Test to enhance our programming team’s initiatives in developing automated testing tools, frameworks, and test suites.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in elevating the testing capabilities of both our internal and external Quality Assurance teams through the implementation of automated tools and systems. A profound understanding of QA needs, particularly as they pertain to the distinctive elements of each game, is essential for success in this role. You will collaborate closely with fellow programmers and content teams to comprehend how systems are executed and, more importantly, how they ought to be evaluated.

On a daily basis, you will engage with our QA and Production teams to enhance the testing coverage of our game systems. Your responsibilities will include executing test plans, ensuring the development of automation scripts, and sharing the responsibility for maintaining the stability of the build system.

This role is exclusively available to individuals residing in Canada with the legal right to work.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid capacity from the WB Games Montreal studio.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance and leverage our existing automated framework to improve testing capabilities of game features, validate design and art content, and monitor game performance and memory utilization. Analyze game source code to pinpoint potential areas requiring QA attention. Collaborate with QA leadership to identify complex QA areas and propose solutions to alleviate such complexities. Work alongside other programmers and content teams to implement relevant test cases for the project.

Required Qualifications

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 7 years of professional programming experience, with at least 3 years supporting QA and a minimum of 5 years working with C/C++.
