Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at Daikin Group. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for working with APIs and embedded software to improve and debug software and hardware. Your expertise will be crucial in creating test setups, developing software for reports, and performing additional projects to support ongoing business needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with APIs and embedded software to improve and debug software and hardware
* Create test setups and develop software for reports
* Perform additional projects to support ongoing business needs

Requirements

* Excellent understanding of cloud application design processes
* Excellent understanding of RESTful APIs and interfacing with API endpoints
* Proficient with databases and storage services
* Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts and ability to solve complex technical problems
* Ability to meet short and long-term deadlines and meet the company's high standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance

Preferred Qualifications

* ~10+ years of experience in the related field
* ~5+ years of experience working with setting up tools, required infrastructure, and selecting and deploying appropriate debugging tools
* ~5+ years of experience reviewing, verifying, and validating software code developed in embedded and cloud-connected product projects
* ~5+ years of experience building software with evidence of adhering to industry standard security principles

Work Environment

* Work from home environment with visits to the office when needed
* Prolonged periods of sitting and working from a computer
* Travel requirement of up to 5%
