Lugger Truck Driver Position

At GFL Environmental, we are seeking a skilled Lugger Truck Driver to join our team. As a Lugger Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting lime waste from client sites to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a lugger truck to transport lime waste, adhering to traffic laws and regulations for safe transportation.
  • Ensure lugger bins are securely fastened and positioned correctly on the truck and trailer.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the lugger truck.
  • Communicate with customer personnel and team members for pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Follow procedures for handling lime waste, including wearing PPE if required.
  • Report incidents, accidents, or issues promptly to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including mileage and maintenance required.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Clean Driving Abstract and CVOR.
  • AZ license with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • Lugger experience is preferred.
  • Must be experienced with manual transmission.
  • Thorough knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic laws.
  • Previous experience driving around the GTA and knowledge of areas is an asset.
