Job Title: Household Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Household Assistant to join our team at Barber Private Household. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our home.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Household Chores: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
  • Laundry and Errands: Launder clothing and household linens, shop for food and household supplies.
  • Additional Tasks: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, reliability, honesty.
Working Conditions:
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
  • Transportation: Public transportation available.
