Your mission:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be pivotal in guaranteeing the consistent excellence of our products while complying with industry standards, regulations, and our company's quality assurance protocols. You will work closely with production teams, plant management, and external partners to uphold and enhance our product quality and operational efficiency. The following duties and responsibilities are essential and may be expanded as management sees fit.
- Conduct routine quality assessments on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished Kraft Pulp to ensure compliance with established quality benchmarks.
- Propose testing tools and methodologies to evaluate and report on product quality.
- Support the Lab Supervisor in analyzing quality assurance results and suggesting areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes that improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Analyze data and provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and industry-specific quality requirements.
- Stay informed about updates or changes in regulations that may affect the production process.
- Maintain precise and current records of quality tests, process parameters, and inspection outcomes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate quality-related information to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve quality concerns by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Offer training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
Your profile:

- Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures, equipment, and analytical techniques pertinent to the pulp and paper sector.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- A commitment to progress, learning, growth, and success.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pulp and Paper Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a robust background in Kraft Pulp or pulp and paper manufacturing.
