We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Care Worker to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Youth & Community Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and growth of vulnerable youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate youth activities and programs that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners.
  • Provide support and direction to youth, including daily living skills and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, including progress notes and incident reports.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-years post-secondary education in a related field (Social Services, First Nations Studies, Criminology, Psychology etc.) and 1-2 years' experience working with youth.
  • Class 5 Driver's License with a willingness and ability to obtain unrestricted Class 4 within 3 months of hire.
  • Certification: First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to undergo a successful criminal record check.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $28.51/hr. - $31.51/hr. based on qualifications and experience (night shift premium).
