Position Overview

The Pharmacy Counter Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the over-the-counter department. This position involves maintaining the organization of the assigned area, executing tasks as directed by the OTC Department Manager or Pharmacy Manager, and upholding high standards of customer care in alignment with the core values of Walmart Canada Corp.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained and adhere to all regulations consistent with the Privacy Act.
  2. Support the Pharmacy Manager in maximizing sales and profitability within the department.
  3. Regularly rotate stock and monitor for expired items.
  4. Maintain proper zoning within the department.
  5. Follow established procedures for ordering, clearance, pricing adjustments, and labeling.
  6. Keep the workspace organized and free from unnecessary clutter and hazards.
  7. Aim for zero pricing discrepancies as part of the Scanning Credibility Program.
  8. Calibrate and maintain equipment utilized in the prescription filling process.
