About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our mission to provide the best possible health care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy services to patients in acute care settings, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment and monitoring of patient responses to treatment, and modify the intervention strategy as needed.
  • Participate in maintaining seamless quality patient care by identifying appropriate referrals for physiotherapy services and facilitating referrals to other health care/community programs.
  • Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families/caregivers, and advocate for their rights to privacy, dignity, and access to information.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Basic knowledge of research process and methodology.
