About the Role
SuccessFactors and the Department of Family Practice are seeking a certified Physician Assistant (PA) to become part of the Primary Health Services team. Family Practices focus on delivering clinical care to patients and their families, engaging in quality improvement processes, and participating in educational activities. Under the guidance of established medical directives, the successful candidate will provide clinical services under the supervision of a designated Family Physician. This role allows the PA to operate within their full scope of practice.
As a vital member of the team, the Physician Assistant will report to the Primary Supervising Family Physician and work within a dynamic collaborative care environment. The PA will deliver comprehensive, continuous, and coordinated primary care to patients throughout their lifespan. Key Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant
- Gather health histories as necessary, including patient demographics
- Perform thorough and focused physical assessments and interpret findings
- Utilize assessment results to create differential diagnoses and determine the need for further clinical investigations
- Order preliminary diagnostic tests and follow up on results
- Develop treatment and management plans based on assessments, available services, and patient needs
- Implement effective treatment strategies that include preventive and therapeutic interventions, demonstrating appropriate procedural skills as per the governing bodies and supervising physician
- Collaborate with and seek guidance from the supervising physician and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care

Compensation Details
- $61.60 per hour ($90,402 - $120,120 annually)
- This position is currently eligible for an additional temporary market adjustment
Candidate Profile
We invite applications from individuals who possess the following qualifications:
- Graduation from or current enrollment in an accredited Physician Assistant program in Canada or the United States
- Certification through the Physician Assistant's Certification Council (PACC) or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Eligibility for licensure with the relevant regulatory body
- Membership with the national association for Physician Assistants
- Medical Liability Insurance required
- BLS Certification
- Recent clinical experience in family medicine, either in practice or through clinical training
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
- Competencies in additional languages are an asset, with French preferred
