Senior Cost Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our successful Real Estate team in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will work on a major program, supporting top clients for Turner & Townsend.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking Senior Cost Consultant to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for identifying risks and opportunities in the design that will have a cost implication, participating in the development and implementation of change control procedures, and managing and taking responsibility for estimating and cost planning activities.
Key Responsibilities- Integrated change management across various packages, including controlling, tracking, and reporting pre-contract changes across a multi-billion dollar program.
- Pre-contract change control including reviewing impact and advising on funding sources.
- Reviewing and assuring Construction Cost Estimate produced by others at all stages of design.
- Managing and mentoring junior staff.
As a Senior Cost Consultant at Turner & Townsend, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop a clear development plan harnessing your potential and giving you the opportunity and support to grow through the business.
- Continuing Professional Development support whether that be for a professional qualification or within the industry.
- Manage and take responsibility for estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan/estimate to the client team.
- Carry out research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data as well as engaging with the market to obtain up-to-date rates for all construction products.
