Job Title: Performance Management Systems Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified instructor to teach a course on Performance Management Systems at the University of Toronto.

About the Course

This course focuses on the design and implementation of performance management systems to motivate and develop employee performance. Students will learn about performance assessment, employee motivation, discipline, and performance conciliation, as well as the design and implementation of compensation and benefits systems.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare a course syllabus in accordance with departmental guidelines
  • Prepare and deliver lectures (12 two-hour classes)
  • Be available for office hours and informal communications with students
  • Assess and evaluate students' work and provide final course grades in accordance with university and department practices
Requirements

Completed PhD in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or related discipline; or a combination of advanced degrees and equivalent professional background. Expert knowledge of subject area.

Preferred Qualifications

Expert knowledge of subject area and demonstrated ability in university teaching. Previous experience in teaching a similar course is preferred.
