The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) provides dynamic and rewarding career opportunities in health and social services across Canada's North. The Authority operates in multiple communities throughout the territory, employing over 1,600 professionals to serve more than 43,000 residents of the NWT and 5,900 residents of the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut. Employees benefit from challenging work environments, supportive communities, and numerous professional development opportunities.
Position Overview
The NTHSSA is the primary provider of health and social services in the Northwest Territories (NWT), excluding the Hay River and Tlicho regions, covering an area of 1.2 million square kilometers and serving a diverse population of approximately 43,000 individuals, including First Nations, Inuit, Metis, and non-aboriginals. The services encompass a comprehensive range of primary, secondary, and tertiary health services, as well as social services, including family support, protection services, care placements, mental health, addictions, and developmental activities, all delivered by a dedicated team of over 1,400 staff.
