Food Service Supervisor

Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising a team of staff who prepare and portion food.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are meeting performance expectations.
- Manage Food and Service Quality: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and make adjustments as needed to maintain high levels of quality.
- Prepare Budgets and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, and submit reports to management as required.
- Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Language: English.
The Food Service Supervisor will work in a restaurant environment, with a variety of locations and on-site customer service. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a noisy, odorous, and wet/damp environment, and be able to lift and move heavy objects as required.
