Job Overview

Swerdna Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Equipment Operator to join our team. This position involves ensuring the optimal performance of various machinery and vehicles.

Employment Details

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience.
Work Environment
  • Conditions may include hot and noisy surroundings with potential odours.
  • Work will be conducted at various locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, lubricate, refuel, and maintain equipment.
  • Operate a range of vehicles and machinery.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Licenses and Certifications
  • AZ class license is mandatory.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement is required.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence for vehicles with more than 3 axles.
Equipment Experience
  • Experience with road line painting trucks is an asset.
Safety and Security
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
  • Verification of driver's validity and driving record.
  • Drug testing is required.
Transportation Requirements
  • A valid driver's licence is essential.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Public transportation is not available for this role.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have 20/20 vision and the ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Overtime may be required, and the role is physically demanding.
  • Weight handling capability of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Tools and Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required.
