Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop strategies to address them.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Alberta Mental Health Act and Health Information Act.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- NVCI certification.
- Knowledge of CBT, DBT, and Trauma Informed Care.
- Experience working with mental health populations.
