Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Unity Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of supplies and materials between departments, preparing and submitting reports, and monitoring personnel workloads and locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the movement of supplies and materials between departments
  • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality
  • Coordinate activities with warehouse and production units to ensure smooth operations
  • Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner
  • Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production, construction, and other projects
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports and other documentation
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
  • Respond to urgent calls from individuals who require assistance
  • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in logistics or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of dispatch management service software and GPS navigation equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Client-focused and organized with a team player attitude
Work Environment:

The Logistics Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
