About the Role

The Parliament of Canada is seeking a skilled Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for developing and delivering instructional library training and online learning products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs for library staff and clients
  • Collate and organize information effectively for clients
  • Provide excellent customer service and support
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited program
  • Experience delivering presentations, providing training, and conducting engagement and promotional activities
  • Experience in collating and organizing information effectively for clients

Assets

  • Experience writing for the web or using Springshare products (LibGuides, LibWizard)
  • Understanding of UX web design and web accessibility principles

Selection Process

The selection process may include a second-language evaluation, a written qualifying exam, and an interview with a presentation. Candidates will be required to pass each stage in order to move to the next stage of the selection process.
