The selected researcher will engage with fire experts and academic partners on a project aimed at understanding 'Daily Fire Occurrence and Burn Probability'. The role involves a thorough analysis of how meteorological conditions and other variables influence different fire types, alongside the development of predictive models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement statistical approaches to forecast severe wildfire incidents.
- Evaluate model predictions against historical data to determine accuracy and associated risks.
- Communicate scientific findings effectively through both oral presentations and written reports.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications:
