Furniture Assembly Foreman/Woman Job Description

At SCM Sofa City Manufacturing Inc, we are seeking a skilled Furniture Assembly Foreman/Woman to join our team. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in furniture assembly and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Plan and coordinate the work schedules of assembly team members to ensure efficient production.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to help team members improve their skills and performance.
  • Oversee Safety and Quality: Ensure a safe working environment and maintain high-quality standards in furniture assembly.
  • Recommend Personnel Actions: Make recommendations for personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of assembly team members, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Requisition Materials and Equipment: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support furniture assembly operations.
  • Improve Productivity and Quality: Identify opportunities to improve productivity and product quality, and implement changes as needed.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in furniture assembly or a related field

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week
  • English language required
