A robust technical foundation in Machine Learning Engineering is crucial, and familiarity with Chemistry or Biology is highly advantageous.

This position presents significant opportunities for professional growth and the chance to delve into the life sciences sector under exemplary leadership, providing close mentorship and guidance as you develop your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and advance AI systems for small molecule design within a dynamic, product-focused environment.
  • Create AI-driven feature prototypes and enhance AI tools for molecule generation, screening, and prediction, emphasizing Generative AI methodologies.
  • Refine and maintain essential AI components, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, with at least 3 years in an industry setting.
  • Strong expertise in Deep Learning, particularly in Generative AI Techniques: transformers, GNNs, diffusion models, RNNs, CNNs, GANs, VAEs, flow-based models, reinforcement learning, and evolutionary algorithms.
  • Proficient in tools such as Pytorch, Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, LangChain, JupyterLab, Plotly, Git, AWS, and W&B.
  • Experience in rapid prototype testing for product research and development.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and enhancing AI solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Experience in chemistry or cheminformatics.
  • Track record of success in Machine Learning competitions (e.g., Kaggle).
  • Published research in Machine Learning applications for drug discovery.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of features, components, or products.
