Role Overview

As the Head of Product Strategy for our Financial Solutions at Benevity, you will spearhead the strategic direction and oversight of our financial product offerings. Your leadership will drive the creation of innovative solutions that enhance our invoicing and global disbursement capabilities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients, you will identify market trends, define product strategies, and ensure alignment with market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and cultivate a high-performing product management team, promoting a collaborative environment, setting clear expectations, and providing continuous mentorship to empower team members.
  • Guide team members in feature specification and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Evaluate and refine the team's specification process to improve efficiency.
  • Proactively identify the team's unmet needs and advocate for necessary resources.
  • Champion a quality-first approach to ensure superior product delivery.
  • Enhance your team's data literacy and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Instill robust user research methodologies within your team.
  • Encourage a design-focused culture and optimize collaboration between product managers and designers.
  • Develop career advancement plans for direct reports, emphasizing skill development and growth opportunities.
  • Make informed trade-off decisions between projects to maximize overall value.
  • Explore innovative methods to boost team efficiency and enhance project delivery.
  • Leverage data to establish and communicate objectives, uncover opportunities, and build compelling investment cases.
  • Conduct client and user research to shape product roadmaps, evaluate impact, and guide product iterations for optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Define clear team objectives, investment narratives, and anticipated outcomes for the organization.
  • Contribute strategically at the organizational level and articulate the value of team investments.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships proactively, minimizing surprises and fostering broad support for team initiatives.
  • Take ownership of team outcomes and adjust strategies, roadmaps, and processes for peak performance.
  • Identify potential diminishing returns and plan for strategic resource allocation adjustments.
  • Drive prioritization and resource allocation across the organization, even when it necessitates adjustments to your team's initiatives.
  • Ensure that team progress and outcomes are visible at the executive level.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in product management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • 5+ years of experience within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing all facets of a product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Experience in the technology sector, particularly in B2B environments and with financial platforms and global money movement, is advantageous.
