Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces prior to painting.
  • Repairing cracks and holes to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Mixing paint to achieve the desired colour and texture.
  • Measuring, cutting, and applying wallpaper and other materials to walls.
  • Providing expert advice to clients on colour selection and wall coverings.
  • Erecting scaffolding and swing stages, and attaching rigging as necessary.
  • Applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Estimating costs and materials required for projects.
Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in brush and roller painting techniques.
  • Experience in drywall taping and patching.
  • Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination.
  • The ability to distinguish between different colours.
  • Physical capability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.

Additional Information

A valid driver's licence is required for this position. The role is permanent, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week.
