We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at MindJeweller Services Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions using computer equipment and GPS devices.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy and operate lighter, special-purpose trucks.
  • Load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Mountain driving expertise and professionalism in customer service.
  • Ability to obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
Personal Suitability
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent written communication.
  • Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic.
