Responsibilities
As a Department Manager - Store Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the franchisee and bookkeeper in delivering consistent and high-quality customer service.
- Performing customer service, cashier, and ecommerce functions to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
- Managing direct reports and delegating duties to ensure front-end standards and functions are met.
- Overseeing the efficient running of the cash office, including pick-ups, deposits, cash losses, and analyzing reports to identify problems and determine solutions.
- Ensuring price integrity by assisting with time-file data management, price changes, and scan log procedures.
- Supporting the bookkeeper with store administration functions, such as weekly accounting, invoice payment and reconciliation, bank statements, and GL inquiries.
- Managing potential loss through buggy management, test orders, refund/override minimization, and coordinating cashier activities on a daily basis.
- Providing input into the performance management process and ensuring courteous, friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets and maintains hygiene standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Open availability and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to the needs of the business.
- Demonstrated commitment to superior customer service and strong technical knowledge of all front-end operations.
- Problem-solving skills, including responding to customer complaints and inquiries.
- Issue management skills, including time management, interpersonal skills, conflict management, information gathering skills, problem-solving, and team-building skills to develop collaborative working relationships.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening.
