Job Title: Geographic Information Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to join our team at A&F Di Carlo Construction Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating maps and related graphs and charts, planning map content, format, and design, and compiling required data from aerial photographs, survey notes, records, and other maps.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate maps and related graphs and charts using GIS software
  • Plan map content, format, and design, and compile required data from various sources
  • Maintain and manage digital databases
  • Process data to conduct basic analyses of trends
  • Write specifications and technical reports
  • Apply quality control procedures
  • Inspect final compositions
  • Perform data entry and verify accuracy and completeness of data
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in GIS or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of GIS software, including SQL, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Database management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
