Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and physically demanding Demolition Worker to assist in the demolition of buildings and other structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, as well as erecting and dismantling scaffolding and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Paving and raking asphalt
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads and working under pressure. The work site environment will be outdoors, with confined spaces, noisy, dusty, cold, and hot conditions.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in challenging conditions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Sound discrimination and ability to work in a noisy environment

Work Conditions

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term and English as the primary language of communication.
