Health Care Assistant Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Health Care Assistant Instructor to join our team at North Island College. As a Health Care Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Health Care Assistant Certificate program.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver instructional materials for the Health Care Assistant program
- Teach and assess students in a variety of practice settings
- Develop and implement creative strategies for student learning
- Provide documentation and follow-up with student concerns and problem resolution
- Facilitate conflict management and maintain a positive learning environment
- Practical Nursing credential or BSN degree
- Two years' experience teaching adults, preferably at the postsecondary level
- Work experience in gerontics
- Extensive experience working with Older Adults
- Provincial Instructor diploma preferred
- Experience with Indigenous pedagogies and culture
- Current registration with BCCNM (inclusive of Criminal Record)
- CPR Level HCP required
- Experience using online learning management systems
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office software
- Valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
