About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finishing Specialist to join our team at 1726122 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit and a smooth finish.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to maintain a stable and secure structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong and durable bond.
