Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Advisor to join our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. As an Advisor, you will play a key role in leading the implementation of our EDI priority actions, supporting the development of a diverse workforce, and fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of EDI priority actions to support a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace culture
  • Contribute to advancing VCH's equity journey, building organizational capability, and fostering systemic change
  • Develop and implement diversity-focused recruitment guidelines, tools, and training to educate and achieve a high level of diversity and inclusion hiring
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate critical thinking and problem resolution, and foster creativity and innovation in strategic planning
  • Play a consultative and facilitator role for internal teams on topics such as inclusive leadership, unconscious bias, equity, and social identity
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in a relevant discipline such as Social Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Health Administration, or Political Science
  • Five to seven years' experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion program and project management, change management, organization development, partner engagement, training, and development
  • Lived experience with diversity, inclusion, and equity considerations
  • Strong understanding of change management, project management, and communication key principles and best practices
  • Sound knowledge of federal and provincial human rights and employment policy and legislation relevant to diversity, inclusion, and equity
