Key Responsibilities- Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnosis: Utilize computerized and various testing tools to assess the extent of repairs needed.
- Repairs: Adjust machinery and replace defective components as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance reports and records.
- Testing: Evaluate repaired equipment to confirm it meets manufacturer specifications.
- Assembly: Attach components and make adjustments to new agricultural machinery.
- Maintenance: Perform cleaning, lubrication, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Service: Maintain attachments and working tools for optimal functionality.
- Education: Must possess a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
- Certification: Hold an Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Mechanical Expertise: Proficient in mechanical and hydraulic transmissions, as well as brake systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Tools: Must have personal tools and steel-toed safety boots.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
