Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Neurophysiology Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and procedures related to Diagnostic Neurophysiology, including EEG, EMG, and Evoked Potentials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and record EEG, Nerve Conduction Tests, EMG, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests on patients
  • Formulate technical preliminary reports by analyzing recordings and measuring numerical data
  • Prepare patients for tests by explaining procedures and attaching electrodes and/or electromyographic equipment
  • Participate in departmental infection control program by assessing infection control in equipment and handling/storing/disposing of needle electrodes and other supplies
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment by calibrating and cleaning equipment to ensure accuracy
Requirements
  • Graduation with a Diploma of Technology in Electroneurophysiology (British Columbia's Institute of Technology)
  • Two years' recent, related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) or the Board of Registration of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC)
  • Current membership with the British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) or the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC)
