The Senior French Language Specialist is integral to the advancement of Securian Canada. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the centralized management of translation services within the organization, developing processes and executing bilingual communications across the company. Your responsibilities will encompass content creation and editing, copywriting, and translating materials from English to French (80%) and French to English (20%). Additionally, you will be tasked with managing all company documentation, communications, and crafting French RFP responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct French language and translation initiatives at Securian Canada;
  • Translate corporate documents from English to French;
  • Establish an internal translation hub and ensure adherence to translation standards and consistency;
  • Oversee third-party translation service providers;
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal terminology and style guide;
  • Review and enhance translations for quality assurance and uniformity;
  • Compose responses to French RFPs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in translation (English-French);
  • Certification from a recognized translation association;
  • A minimum of seven years of professional translation experience;
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
