About the Role

FIVE RIVER EXPRESS LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Logistics and Operations: Load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but previous experience in the trucking industry is an asset.
