Job Title: Sales Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Gas Plus. As a Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train sales staff to meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Assign sales staff to duties and ensure that they are working efficiently
  • Hire and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the role
  • Teach interest or professional development courses to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date
  • Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is delivered to the store in a timely manner
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities
  • Sell merchandise and ensure that all sales are accurately recorded and processed
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to ensure that the store is running efficiently
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is always stocked with the necessary merchandise
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that the store is running smoothly
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure that all staff are paid accurately and on time
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure that staff are meeting their targets and providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail sales environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Efficient and organized with a strong attention to detail
