We are seeking a dedicated Fence Construction Specialist to join our team at Borderline Fencing. This role involves working outdoors in various settings, primarily focused on the construction and repair of fences.
Qualifications- Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role is preferred.
The position is physically demanding and requires working in rural areas and construction sites. Candidates should be prepared for handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assess layout and installation methods for fencing projects.
- Accurately measure and mark guidelines for installations.
- Prepare and manage materials and supplies necessary for projects.
- Load and unload equipment and supplies from trucks.
- Oversee and guide other workers on-site.
- Utilize various hand and power tools effectively.
- Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications for accurate installations.
This role specifically focuses on the installation and repair of fences.
Transportation RequirementsA valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player with effective interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and dependability are essential attributes.
This position does not require prior Canadian work experience and offers support for newcomers and refugees with immediate settlement needs. The working hours range from 32 to 44 hours per week, and the primary language of work is English.
