- Document nonconformities and segregate non-compliant parts with appropriate tagging.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive inspection plans and procedures.
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes utilizing tools like Rapid 5 Whys and 8D methodologies.
- Perform First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards.
- Achieve planned weekly and daily KPIs related to assembly inspection.
- Guide assembly technicians by providing clarity on inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Engage in all necessary training to uphold certification standards.
Trim Inspection Duties
- Validate the effectiveness of tools used.
- Conduct visual inspections.
- Review parts against planned MIDs and inspection documentation.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Document nonconformities and manage non-compliant parts.
Shipping Inspection Responsibilities
- Verify completion of all inspection stages.
- Inspect parts according to planned MIDs and inspection documentation.
- Document nonconformities and manage non-compliant parts.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including necessary certifications.
- Meet planned weekly and daily KPIs for assembly inspection.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Lay-up Inspection Tasks
- Review materials for shelf life and compliance.
- Ensure all materials are correctly cut and identified.
- Confirm completeness of Material Identification Sheets.
- Validate tooling effectiveness.
- Conduct visual inspections against planned MIDs and inspection documentation.
- Meet planned weekly and daily KPIs for assembly inspection.
- Guide layup technicians by sharing inspection requirements.
- Document nonconformities and manage non-compliant parts.
Core Inspection Functions

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in composite manufacturing or assembly inspection, particularly within a Quality Assurance framework (ISO 9001, AS 9100).
- Experience in NDT/Ultrasonic Inspection is advantageous.
