Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unregulated Care Provider to join our team at our Shelburne location.

About the Role

As an Unregulated Care Provider, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of care and services provided to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent service in terms of medication management, coordinating with physicians and pharmacists to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Assisting with document management and ensuring treatments are administered according to the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  • Ensuring successful completion of initial and annual medication administration training and signing off by the Director of Care.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the home or residents by collaborating with the Resident Service Manager.
  • Checking stock levels of medications, ordering new supplies, and storing narcotics securely.
  • Assisting with emergency procedures, enrollment and discharge processes, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An appropriate degree or diploma related to Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, or a relevant field.
  • One year or more of experience working as an Unregulated Care Provider in a long-term care home or hospital setting.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
  • Developed problem-solving skills to address complex situations.
  • Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not mandatory.
